KOLA KENDA

Ingredients

1 cup gotu kola leaves chopped
1 cup raw rice
3 cups coconut milk
1 tsp finely chopped garlic and ginger
Salt to taste
Juice of half a lime


Method



Wash Rice and boil with salt and water. Blend Gotu kola in a blender with a cup of coconut milk. Crush Gotukola in a motor or blender using 1 cup of coconut milk. Once the rice boils, add the remaining 2 cups of coconut milk. Add ginger, garlic and the gotu kola juice and bring it to a boil. Add lemon juice and serve. It is usually served with Jaggery.
